Forest Cottages

The Forest of Dean is a magnificent and magical place - an unspoilt area of ancient woodland tucked away between the Rivers Severn and Wye. There are thousands of acres of open forest to explore as well as miles of way marked trails and riverside walks. Both our cottages are in the village of Parkend, at the heart of the forest with woodland walks from the gate, well equipped for an active or relaxing holiday at any time of year.
Nagshead Cottage is in a peaceful position beside the cycle track at the edge of the RSPB reserve. Sleeps 4 - ideal for families and cyclists. Well behaved adult dogs welcome.
Squirrel Cottage in a woodland setting is cosy with an open fire and garden gate into the forest. Sleeps 2 - ideal for romantic couples and dog owners.

Perfect for romantics and perfect for unwinding, situated up a small lane with forest walks directly from the doorstep.
Most of the accommodation is on the ground floor and includes a large lounge/dining room with pine-clad walls and very high pine ceilings, wood-burning fire and a gothic chandelier. S
mall but very well equipped kitchen, large utility room and bathroom with walk-in shower. The first double bedroom is next to the lounge and the second is situated up a pine staircase in a gallery which overlooks the lounge - this room has high pine-clad ceilings and lots of pine ballustrading.
The whole is very well furnished and has everything you might need for your holiday - a real 'home from home'. Broadband internet available. Private Garden with
BBQ charcoal grill and deck chairs.

We offer two choices of accommodation at Benhall Farm, all with WiFi.

AA Four Star Bed and Breakfast in the delightful Georgian Farmhouse. The 3 rooms are spacious and nicely decorated with en-suite facilities and have lovely views. One has a superking four poster, one a kingsize double and one two single beds. Private Guests Lounge with a range of books, Leaflets and maps on the area. Enjoy a hearty breakfast made from local produce to set uou up for a day's walking or sightseeing. Packed lunches available. Rates from 38 pppn with discount for stays of 3 nights or more.

AA Four Star Self Catering in the Granary and Garden Cottage, both fully equipped and decorated to a high standard with many little extras to make your stay more comforatble and enjoyable.
