Light and airy holiday cottage comfort. Image: Tom's Barn, our dog-friendly holiday cottage for two.

Couples of all ages are most welcome to Orchard Farm and our two stunning self-catering cottages converted from the old 18thC limestone cattle barns next to our house in the delightful Peak village of Parwich. Our main aim throughout has been to make each barn just the sort of place we might be lucky enough to stay in ourselves – warm, welcoming, cosy, generously and thoughtfully equipped and above all beautifully comfortable. We want everybody to return to the real world after their holiday feeling totally renewed!
Both barns are very different but equally charming: each offers luxury, peace and quiet in a beautiful setting; en-suite (whirlpool) baths; wi-fi connection; log burner in Tom's Barn; lots of games, maps and walk books; village shop, pub, church all 5 minutes’ stroll away.

We are within walking distance of both the High Peak and Tissington Trails and Dovedale. We even supply boot dryers.

Each barn sleeps 2. Prices from £395 per week. 3/4 night short breaks if available. Tom's Barn only is dog friendly.

The Dove Valley Centre
Hartington, Near Buxton

If you enjoy beautiful scenery and care about the environment you will love staying at the Dove Valley Centre. Situated in the upper Dove Valley, approximately 6 miles south of Buxton, it is set in 50 acres of farmland with a wide range of habitats to explore and enjoy - from woodland, wild flower meadows and pastures, to ponds and the river itself.
The 2 barns have been sympathetically converted to preserve the style of the buildings and to impact as little as possible on the environment, yet provide living space of comfort and character. Many of the structural features have been left visible, including roof timbers, oak beams and stonework. The centre will sleep up to 12 people, which is ideal for groups, or it can be used as 2 self contained units. Individually, the Hayloft sleeps 6/8 and The Shippon 4/5 (ground floor with wheelchair access). Both have central heating supplemented by a wood burning stove fuelled from local woods.
Great for short or longer breaks - stay from as little as 2 nights to a week or more.
Prices from £140 for 2 nights, £280 per week.
We also run a whole range of arts and environmental course and events, residential or non-residential. See website for details.
