This mountainous area, with plenty of interesting rural lanes and off-road tracks, also provides magnificent opportunities for rides and walks throughout the Brecon Beacons National Park. location and the carefully preserved ambience of a Welsh castle Craig-y-Nos Castle is ideal for away breaks for individuals, couples and groups. You can enjoy nice views of the courtyard and grounds from your bedroom.

The pretty village of Talybont-on-Usk is situated at the gateway to the Brecon Beacons and is a walkers' paradise yet close to Brecon, Crickhowell and Abergavenny. For such a small village the 4 pubs and restaurants are outstanding and all within easy walking distance along with the village shop/P.O. and cafe.
The Malt House is an attractive Georgian property retaining many original features. It is comfortable and homely with 2 acres of of landscaped grounds incorporating a swimming pool and quiet places to sit and reflect. Double en-suite rooms or twin bedded rooms with shared use of bath/shower room, choice of excellent English or Continental breakfast, large TV lounge, free internet access, private parking and drying facilities. The
hosts Mike and Lyn are very flexible on coming and going and can accommodate early business risers as well as tourists who want to rise later. Children welcome.

Indeed, there are stunning walks, cycling trails and a wealth of outdoor activities right on the doorstep. The privacy of the surrounding land makes its 1 acre garden the ideal place for relaxation, listening to the sound of the nearby stream whilst watching the red kites
and buzzards soar by.
Within the village of Brynammam can be found the convenience of pub meals, take-always, cinema and The Black Mountain Centre with its tourist information and heritage displays.

The New Inn is situated in the tiny Herefordshire village of Brilley on the Welsh borders. This 18thC stone house, with its extensive grounds and stream running through it, enjoys stunning views of the Black Mountains, the beautiful Wye Valley and the Brecon Beacons.
A former rural inn, the main house is full of character with its flag stone floors and old range, where you can relax with a cup of tea. There are 2 double rooms, each room furnished with a double bed with sprung mattress and 100% cotton bed linen, down duvets and feather pillows. Both rooms are decorated with traditional lime-washed walls and have polished wood floors and view of the garden and Wye valley. The private bathroom is on the
adjacent landing. Please note this is an old house does not have power showers or TV. Wi-fi is available.
Most of the food is sourced locally and organic. Eggs are from our own happy hens and vegetables when in season are from our own garden. Special dietary needs can also be catered for. Shared garden, BBQ and parking.
