Coogarth benefits from its own private enclosed garden and wonderful views. Coogarth is traditionally and comfortably furnished and includes: Hall, Sitting Room with open fire, large Dining Room, fully equipped Kitchen, Bathroom with bath and separate power shower, Double Bedroom, Twin Bedroom, Single Bedroom and Nursery Room with z-bed and travel cot. Garden with furniture and bbq. Parking.
Within the immediate area of Coogarth are walks around the lower and higher fells including up Hallin for spectacular views of Ullswater. Martindale is one of the most beautiful secluded areas in the Lakes surrounded by the Far Eastern Fells and is a popular starting point for hillwalking. There are many guidebooks in the cottage to assist you plus lots of info, games and DVD player.
The nearby Howtown Hotel is very good for local food and beer.
