The Blue Ball Inn is a Cask Marque, truly dog friendly, 14^th century, traditional Inn, which is located in one of the most stunning walking and hiking areas within the UK. It is the ideal place from which to explore the outdoors, with some of the most spectacular trails passing right by including the South West Coastal Path, the 103 mile Two Moors Way and The Tarka Trail, which is over 180 miles in length and extends through North and Mid Devon.
This beautiful, privately owned, Inn is Grade II listed with low ceilings, blackened beams, stone fireplaces and an atmosphere of unspoilt old world charm. It has 16 en-suite bedrooms and a fine and growing reputation for providing real ale, fine wines and excellent food served all day in the summer and lunchtimes and evenings in the winter. A charming old listed family home, dating back in parts to the Tudor period, set in a picturesque West Somerset village in an area of outstanding beauty between the Quantock and Brendon Hills on the edge of Exmoor National Park. We offer a friendly, informal atmosphere and a high standard of accommodation. All rooms are en-suite and there is a comfortable drawing room with local information and a licensed bar.
A full English breakfast, cooked in the Aga using fresh local produce wherever possible, is served in the dining room overlooking the delightful cottage garden. Evening meals and Sunday lunches are served by prior arrangement. During the summer, morning coffees, cream teas and light lunches are served in the garden and on the veranda.
Children of all ages are welcome. Disabled accommodation is also available with wheelchair access from car park to bedroom.

WILLITON

Hartnells is a charming Grade 2 listed thatched cottage, ideally suited to walkers as you can access both seaside on the West Somerset Coastal Path and countryside walks from here. It is situated on the Macmillan Way West and is close to the wonderful scenery of the Coleridge Way, Brendan Hills, Exmoor and the Quantock Hills that can be accessed from the back garden! 
Sue offers a pick up/drop service to save you carrying your pack each day, delicious home baked lunch packages and flask refills for a small extra charge, plus drying facilities and an outdoor sink for muddy boots!
Well behaved dogs are accepted in our downstairs suite which has access to the garden and fields beyond. There is a guest lounge to relax with your group to discuss the next day's route. There are 4 pubs and a restaurant within a 2 minute walk for your evening meal.
Your overnight stay at Hartnells is guaranteed to give you a comfortable night's rest and wonderful breakfast with home made bread to set you on your way.
